ISTE Affiliate Network

ISTE partners with like-minded organizations around the world to advance our mission together in local, regional, national, and global arenas. ISTE affiliates are autonomous, nonprofit, professional membership organizations that share ISTE’s mission and function at a grassroots level to affect change in the field of educational technology. ISTE’s affiliate network represents more than 100,000 educators and professionals including classroom teachers; trainers and technology coordinators; leaders who set policy at an individual school, district, or government level; and innovative business leaders who create mission-driven products and services that transform education.

The affiliate network is an active community of leaders who collaborate to exchange best practices and work together to find solutions. The affiliate network works closely with ISTE to develop and deliver professional development, advocate on behalf of educators and build advocacy capacity among Affiliates’ members, provide leadership and policy recommendations, and much more.

Education professionals who are interested in transforming the field of education do best by joining ISTE and at least one ISTE Affiliate. In doing so, their network of learning and sphere of influence can go from the classroom to around the world - and back!

ISTE strongly encourages its members to join and become involved in their local affiliates. Most, but not all affiliates serve a geographic region. Browse the directory of affiliates to find one or more in your area. Learn about them by visiting their website.

The Value of the Affiliate Connection

You see a whole world of information. Your affiliate focuses more on what’s going on right then in your area, such as the new standards, assessment, or evaluation procedures we’re working on now in Tennessee. But when you come into a national or international organization, you start looking at what other schools and regions are doing and how it’s impacting and engaging learning in innovative ways. You get a broader view of what’s actually going on.
